Local NGOs in Buliisa – Promoting Girls child education
Most rural Ugandan girls are unable to finish high school; just one of each 200 will receive any post-secondary education. This lack of opportunity is thanks to the consequences of chronic poverty, HIV, cultural beliefs that education is “wasted” on girls, long-distance walks to colleges, lack of sanitary support, violence, and other challenges. As we are local nogs in Buliisa district, we take this matter very seriously because the district had discovered oil and therefore the district also falls within the fishing villages.

Although these girls currently sleep in situations that give them little hope for a future that doesn’t include poverty or marriage at a young age, they need dreams of becoming educated, independent women who can effect change in Uganda in a sort of ways.

Local NGOs in Buliisa – Promoting Girls child education Project, maybe a growing project that specializes in girl’s education in Uganda and a worldwide program designed to assist the children that come from poor rural areas to attend school and focus on achieving their dreams. Each rural girl in Buliisa is connected with the support of the Mubaku community conservation organization who pays her school fees right from Nursery/Primary and secondary levels and also helps nurture her vision for a brighter future. The program currently supports 96 young girls who are fully sponsored and yet more are to hitch the sponsorship programs and over 150 young boys. There also are over 1000 pending applications from highly motivated but deeply impoverished children who still await support.

As we still secure funding for the agricultural girl child Project, we hope to encourage a justifiable community. The families of the teenagers we serve have already become invested within the program, working alongside us within the different projects we’ve to support the education of their children. We are very grateful to ascertain the Mubaku community progressing, schools, and organizations who have joined us from across the world to assist Ugandan girls to unlock their potential and make lasting positive changes in their communities.
